The Nike SB Dunk Low “Chicago” is dedicated to the styling and color block used on the original Air Jordan 1 of the same nickname from 1985. A tribute to Michael Jordan’s all-time classic signature shoe, this “Chicago” Dunk is almost a spitting image of the Jordan 1 Low. The two distinctly retro silhouettes are a product of Nike’s mid-80s performance basketball footwear campaign. The skate-adjacent Dunk features a white leather perforated toe with white leather mid-panel walls. Fiery red leather overlays dot the forefoot, eyelets, and heel. Branding appears in the form of a black leather Swoosh on either side of the shoe, tonal “Nike” embroidery on the heel, and white accenting Nike SB detailing on the red nylon tongue tag. Given that this is the skateable version of the Dunk, the shoe displays a puffy white mesh tongue for impact absorption. Finishing touches include black cotton laces and a two-toned white midsole and red outsole. Release date: Fall 2020.
